Welcome!

I am an AMATEUR photographer. Really. I don’t know anything about the technical side of things… all I know is I LOVE pictures... I love looking at them and I love taking them. Maybe some day I’ll be able to take photography classes, and buy a fancy camera (I have a good one now, but nothing too extravagant) but until then I’ll just keep snapping away. Life’s too short to not do what you love.

Often, the subjects of my photographic endeavors are my four beautiful daughters. Periodically I will post pictures I’ve taken of them, but generally the photo will have been taken in a way that doesn’t show much their face. Call me paranoid, but I don’t feel comfortable having their pictures out on the web.

When I’m not taking pictures of my girls I’m photographing pretty much anything else that’s around. I’m not picky, I love to experiment, and I am so excited to now have a place to share my love of this art form. So welcome, and I hope you enjoy what you see. Comments are always appreciated, and I hope you come back often.

Oh! In case you are wondering why “Silver Skies”... It’s because I love when the sky is overcast and there’s a soft glow all around. Those are the days that make me happiest.
